  • Our client is a labor and employment boutique founded by a former BigLaw partner in 2018. The firm is comprised of “Super Lawyers” and your clients will be a mix of large corporations, small businesses, startups, high-level executives, and professionals. 

    The firm does BigLaw quality work, and is comprised of former BigLaw attorneys who were tired of the billable hour rat race, the required face time, and the office politics. The firm works on interesting employment law cases and represents both plaintiff and defense clients. You will have a much easier path to partner and bringing in clients is likely to be easier than at your current firm. You must be based in California. CA bar required.

    The majority of your work will be litigation-focused; however, you will also get to work on the firm's advice-and-counsel matters. You will be advising employers on high-stakes employee issues, drafting incentive compensation and other employment agreements, working with startups and small businesses on HR infrastructure buildouts, and advising C-Suite executives on offer packages, departure strategies, and severance negotiations. Most of the attorneys work fully remotely, and has a.1200 hour billable target!

    The litigation team handles a broad mix of complex litigation, corporate and partnership disputes, trust disputes, contract disputes, intellectual property disputes, etc

    The firm is looking to add two top-notch litigation associates:a class of 2022-2024, who has meaningful experience handling a mix of civil litigation matters, and a mid-senior litigation associate in the classes of 2019-2020 Our client has no in-office mandates. However, you will need to live in, or relocate to, a commutable distance from the office in San Francisco. This is not a remote position. Most of the attorneys go in to the office 1-2 days a week, and as needed in order to meet their professional obligations (client meetings, department meetings, firm events etc.) The firm has a great culture, and a longstanding record of promoting their associates and counsels to their one tier equity partnership. Competitive rates and very attractive compensation + 1850 hour realistic billable target.

    Requirements:

    • 2-3 years, and 6-7 years of top law firm civil litigation experience

    • Experience drafting pleadings and motions, drafting and responding to written discovery.

    • For the more senior role, experience with depositions, arguing pre-trial motions, pre-trial preparation, trials and arbitrations is a plus

    • Living within a reasonable to commute to San Francisco

    • Excellent academic credentials

  • One of San Francisco’s premier mid-sized full-service law firms is looking to add a corporate associate in the classes of 2016-2019 (and they might consider a 2020). The firm is comprised primarily of attorneys from elite AmLaw 100 firms and former federal law clerks. The firm is one of the oldest firms in San Francisco and several prominent Federal Judges are former partners from the firm. Our client wants associates who are looking to be generalists, a rarity in this age of specialization. Top credentials and California bar (or pending admission) required.

You can work mostly remote, depending on your level of litigation experience.
