Co-Founder

Barbara has been a legal recruiter since 1989. She was raised in Palo Alto and earned degrees from Stanford University and Tulane Law School. She lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years, and her decades of experience span both Northern and Southern California legal markets. This gives her candidates an insider’s insight into how firm cultures vary—not just by geography, but by firm type, whether BigLaw, boutique, regional, or midsize.

The daughter of a First-Generation mother, Barbara brings integrity, discernment, and a strong sense of professional responsibility to every placement. She guides attorneys through pivotal career moves with honesty and strategic clarity.

Barbara understands the importance of giving back. Over the course of fifteen years, Barbara served on the boards of Stanford Professional Women in both the Bay Area and Los Angeles. She held leadership roles as Co-President and Co-Programs Chair, directing programming initiatives for three years. In 2013, she was inducted into the Stanford Associates in recognition of her sustained volunteer service to the university. Currently, Barbara volunteers her time by mentoring law students and pre-law students. She provides early-stage career guidance, including job interview strategies.

Elyse is a native of New York, where she studied business at City College. She began working with Barbara in 1989.
