Portfolio Counsel

Our client is a Finance Firm in the rapidly growing litigation funding space. The company is seeking a lawyer with 5+ years of litigation experience to help underwrite various opportunities to invest in lawsuits and other disputes. This is not a litigation position. In this role, you will work directly with the Director of Underwriting, the Chief Investment Officer and other senior management, as well as credit, loan servicing and accounting professionals in order to achieve the company’s goals. The job entails legal writing and other due diligence, transaction negotiation and documentation, and advising our client’s Investment Committee on the merits of potential transactions, and the underlying litigation. Judicial clerkship experience preferred. Top credentials required. Some basic Microsoft Excel experience is also required. The company is located in Marin County and easily accessible from San Francisco and the East Bay.

In-house position for technology transactional attorneys

International consulting business is looking to add a technology transactional attorney with 3-10+ years of experience of IP transactional or technology transactions in a law firm or in-house. The position can be based in San Francisco, New York, or Northern Virginia. State bar admission commensurate with location is required.

The technology transactions team focuses on counseling, negotiating and redlining technology procurement (inbound licensing) and market facing (outbound licensing) technology agreements.

The ideal candidate has:

  1. Advised on software and other technology agreements
  2. Familiarity with the development, licensing, acquisition and sale of IP
  3. The ability to: manage client needs; managing outside counsel to obtain optimal outcome and costs; and, analyzing complex legal/regulatory/business issues.
